10 August

Any real thoughts of walking today were banished by the weather; it was pouring down. So much so that whilst we did go out we wore our walking boots simply because this was the footware most likely to keep out the water.

We took the bus to Umhausen, a village well down Oetztal, and went to look at the Stuiben waterfalls. This involved about 1.5 miles walking each way so we were pleased that the rain had stopped by the time we arrived there although it was pretty grey all day.
